Unheeded Tornado Warnings for Joplin, MO were either ignored or people didn't move quickly enough likely raised the death count from that EF-5 tornado.
It appears this was because of previous years of false alarms.
NO MATTER WHAT, WHEN YOU HEAR A TORNADO SIREN, TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY. THOSE TYPES OF SITUATIONS ARE DEFINITELY LIFE OR DEATH!
BIG plans for the models page and winter weather page in the next week as we approach winter. Stay tuned.

Reminder: 1st official 2011-2012 Winter Forecast coming out September 24.

The 1st official 2011-2012 winter forecast will be released on September 24 at 12:00 pm CDT.
