April 9-10 Severe Weather Outbreak Series: Short Range Analysis

Low pressure will eject into the Plains with a cold front on its back. An assisting low pressure system in the Upper Midwest will help advect warm air north. That warm air will be very warm and humid. Tight pressure gradient will make for windy conditions ahead of the cold front.
As the low pressure moves east, the assisting low pressure system will be absorbed and the cold front will push into the Midwest and Plains, making for a severe weather situation.
