February 2011 Climate Report

February was definitely a wild month for many, and the maps for the month of February have come out. To the left is the temperature summary for the month of February.

We see cooler than normal temperatures were experienced throughout the western United States, with some warmer than normal averages throughout the eastern US.

To the left is the February Precipitation graph. The Blizzard of 2011 likely created and/or enhanced the swath of above normal precipitation from the Missouri area into the Great Lakes northeast into the Northeast.

Areas with below normal precipitation include the Texas and Florida southern tips, as well as up north in Michigan and out west in the Northwest corner.
